I am grateful for getting some gardening and writing in as well as some more work on my mom’s estate.
I am grateful for a fun Easter with my daughter’s family and for time for memories with my daughter at my mom’s.
Good grief! I didn’t realize I missed a day of the journal. Last night I ushered at the Lyceum for a very thought provoking play–a fantasy about MLK’s last night–called The Mountain Top. I guess there was a glitch in the projection system, but the acting was so great it wasn’t needed. I am grateful I was able to see the play and I am grateful for getting to garden today.
I am grateful for the new friends I am making through my Osher Memoir class. It was great fun having dinner with them at The Living Room after class!
I am grateful that daughter Melody will be here tomorrow when I sell my son’s vibraphone for him. I am grateful I am not going to set the alarm clock for tomorrow. I am grateful for the lovely variations on red equal signs that dominate my facebook and my ally avatar for my school facebook.
I am grateful for a silly Facebook video of a daddy acting silly and his quadruplets laughing. Laughing feels good!
I am grateful that some very compassionate young people I work with are getting into health professions schools. I am grateful for a home and food and a car and a job and the freedom to say what I want to say and delete statements full of hate (at least on Facebook!)
I am grateful for a chance to see old pictures of my family as I take on the task (with my brother and his wife) to get mom’s house ready for the estate sale. I am grateful there is an end in sight (if not that close) to getting past the “things” stage of dealing with the loss of my mom.
3/23/13 Gratitude Journal
I am grateful for a beautiful day for Explore SDSU. I am grateful for a goof-off evening of writing and Facebooking and not getting all my work done. I am grateful I still have tomorrow.
3/22/13 Gratitude Journal
I am grateful for a quiet evening before the fun craziness tomorrow at Explore SDSU. (So I will get to bed early!)
